Sea kayak open programs

During 2013 we are running a series of sea kayak coaching and touring programs from our kayaking base near Oban from Aberfeldy and on the East coast and trips in a number of locations

Prices start at £75 per person per day, but will depend on the number of people in the group, so please enquire for further details.

May 7th Tuesday	VHF	Any	6	Essential training for anyone thinking of leading or making independent sea kayak journeys. Includes the exam for the Ofcom VHF qualification. £75/person + £30 Ofcom fee.
May 7th Tuesday	BCU/SCA 3 Star training	3	4	We will run through the syllabus, coach you on your core skills and help you make a development plan to take you to 3 star. £80/person/day. Minimum number of people - 2
May 17th ~ 19th Fri eve/Sat/Sun	Rolling workshop	2~3	6	Aberfeldy based. We are getting some really good results on the these programs. We can't guarantee that you will roll, but we will promise that you will make significant progress and improve your confidence if you can't. If you can already roll marginally, we'll improve your rolling reliability. We use dry practice, pool and open water with individualised coaching and video feedback. Minimum number of people - 2
May 18th ~ 19th Sat/Sun	Sea Kayak Photography	2 or higher	6	If you want to take better pictures, put yourself in front of better stuff! What better way than by sea kayak. An exciting new course run by a professional photographer. More detail will be posted soon. We'll improve your paddling too if you like! £200 for the weekend. For more information, click here. May 25th - 26th Sat Sun	Tide race paddling weekend	4	4	Graded red. It will be quite (but not extremely) hairy/exciting. You may well get some rolling practice. May 26th Sat Sun	Sea Kayak Safety	2~4	4	How not to get into trouble. How to sort things out if you do get into trouble. How to maximise your chances if things go horribly wrong. Essential knowledge and skills for every sea paddler. £80/person/ (£70 if you bring your own kayak). Minimum number of people - 2

June 29th ~ 30th Saturday ~ Sunday	Introduction to moving sea water	3	4	Quite gentle. Just right for sea paddlers who want to learn how to deal with the tidal features that they may encounter while paddling around the Argyll Coast. £80/person/day (£70 if you bring your own kayak). July 4th ~ 8th Monday ~ Thursday	Arisaig tour	2 ~ 3	8	Wild camping tour or commercial campsite based day trips. Dazzling beaches. wonderful views of the small isles. Hill forts and lots of seals.Minimum number of people - 2

Come and explore this world class sea kayaking venue and improve your skills and knowledge at the same time. We'll show you some fantastic scenery and wildlife, tune your kayak handling skills and cover trip planning, navigation, incident management and anything else you are interested in. Led by Tony - Level 5 Coach. £80/person/day (£70 if you bring your own kayak). Minimum number of people - 2

August 18th ~ 22nd Saturday ~ Thursday	Skye Intermediate Trip	3 ~ 4	4	Six days of exploring and adventuring around another of Scotland's amazing islands. When paddling anywhere around the Isle of Skye it is hard to know where to look! Upwards towards the mountains. outwards toward the outer Hebrides or inward toward the cliffs and caves. Which ever way you look it will be a feast for the eyes and you'll leave with a big dry bag full of memories and pictures. Minimum number of people - 2
