Sea Freedom open courses and trips calendar 2013

During 2013 we are running a series of sea kayak coaching and touring programs from our kayaking base near Oban from Aberfeldy and on the East coast and trips in a number of locations

Prices start at £75 per person per day, but will depend on the number of people in the group, so please enquire for further details.

VHF Any 6 Essential training for anyone thinking of leading or making independent sea kayak journeys. Includes the exam for the Ofcom VHF qualification. £75/person + £30 Ofcom fee.

BCU/SCA 3 Star training 3 4 We will run through the syllabus, coach you on your core skills and help you make a development plan to take you to 3 star. £80/person/day. Minimum number of people - 2

Rolling workshop 2~3 6 Aberfeldy based. We are getting some really good results on the these programs. We can't guarantee that you will roll, but we will promise that you will make significant progress and improve your confidence if you can't. If you can already roll marginally, we'll improve your rolling reliability. We use dry practice, pool and open water with individualised coaching and video feedback. Minimum number of people - 2

Sea Kayak Photography 2 or higher 6 If you want to take better pictures, put yourself in front of better stuff! What better way than by sea kayak. An exciting new course run by a professional photographer. More detail will be posted soon. We'll improve your paddling too if you like! £200 for the weekend. For more information, click here. Tide race paddling weekend 4 4 Graded red. It will be quite (but not extremely) hairy/exciting. You may well get some rolling practice. Individualized skill tuning as required. Skye Intermediate Trip 3 ~ 4 4 Six days of exploring and adventuring around another of Scotland's amazing islands. When paddling anywhere around the Isle of Skye it is hard to know where to look! Upwards towards the mountains. outwards toward the outer Hebrides or inward toward the cliffs and caves. Which ever way you look it will be a feast for the eyes and you'll leave with a big dry bag full of memories and pictures. Minimum number of people - 2
